Brandon Duber is the managing partner of Bentoff & Duber Co., L.P.A. a prominent personal injury and workers’ compensation law firm. Although his legal career and some dabbling in local politics over the past decade have taken up most of his time, his entrepreneurial spirit and love for the outdoors led him to Covered Bridge Outfitters & Lodge.
Brandon is an ardent outdoorsman, learning to fly fish from his father at an early age, spending the summers of his childhood floating rivers throughout Montana. While Montana had always felt like a second home to Brandon and holds some of his greatest fishing memories (including getting out-fished by his now-wife the day before getting engaged), he has also extensively fished the rivers of Colorado while living there in his 30’s, and has enjoyed travelling the world looking for the next big fish to catch. To Brandon, however, there is no better rush than the fight of an Ohio Steelhead Trout on a fly.
Brandon received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, and his law degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Aside from fishing, Brandon is an avid golfer and skier, with over 20 years as a professional ski instructor.
Outside of work, Brendan volunteers his time and efforts on several boards and committees. He is honored serve on the Foundation Board of Camp Ho Mita Koda , the world’s oldest overnight camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes. Additionally, he serves on the Board for the John Carroll University Entrepreneurs Association . Brendan also serves on the Marketing Committee for the Jesuit Retreat Center , and the Associate Board of the Cleveland Film Commission. Lastly, he is a founding member and committee member of the Father’s Sportsman Club at Gesu School. This group serves as a planning committee for fathers at Gesu Parish who are looking for opportunities to get involved in the outdoors, often through clay target shooting and fishing.
Recreationally, he is an avid outdoorsman. He owns/manages several farms, is an avid bass and musky fisherman, and actively hunts waterfowl, upland game, deer and turkey. When not doing these things he enjoy scuba diving, spearfishing, and skiing.
